Learn how to make this easy and flavorful tahini dressing. It takes just 5 minutes to prepare and it can be used on just about anything!
I’m just going to go ahead and say it– I’ve never really been a big (plain) tahini fan…I see SO many bloggers on instagram drizzling plain tahini all over their food and it just sounds so odd to me!
For a while, I would only really only eat tahini in hummus and occasionally in dressings at restaurants (tbh I’m more of a caesar kind of gal), but it wasn’t until I visited Israel that my opinion on Tahini changed. It was the first time ever that I tried tahini that was not bitter and actually satisfying! I was confused haha but also excited because I wanted to do more research on better tahinis available to me and get creative in the kitchen with them.
My tahini-loving friend introduced me to this tahini brand (also available through their website), which I have been using ever since! I want also to add that even if you don’t have this tahini brand, this dressing works with all tahinis. The trick is to add a bit of sweetener + other flavors in the recipe to mask the bitterness and elevate the flavor– in this case, garlic, tamari, and mustard.
I hope that you can try this recipe out and if you are someone who hasn’t really love tahini like me, I hope that this can change your mind! If you need some ideas for recipes to pair this dressing with, we’ve got you covered:
