Awards and Prizes

Team

At each tournament in the Columbia Cup series, the top 3 teams in each division will win trophies (or top 4 overall, if there’s only one division). Teams who do not get a trophy, but who have made the playoffs or qualified to nationals, will receive a certificate of commendation.

Individual

The top 6 individual scorers in each division (or top 10 overall, if there’s only 1 division), based on average points scored per game in the preliminary rounds, will receive book prizes and medals.

Columbia Cup Overall Prizes

At each tournament, we keep track of the number of wins and losses of each school’s teams. When calculating standings for the overall Columbia Cup prizes, schools receive 10 points for a win, and 5 points for a loss. (Hint: it’s to your advantage to register more teams at each tournament!) The top 3 schools, as well as the top school new to Columbia tournaments, will be presented with Columbia Cup trophies during the awards ceremony of the final tournament in the Columbia Cup series.
