The Columbia Cup is a series of two high-quality quiz bowl tournaments for high schools hosted by the Columbia University Quiz Bowl team. Here’s how you can participate:
Add the Columbia Cup tournament dates to your team’s calendar.
The list of tournament dates for the 2019-2020 year can be found here.
Register teams for the Columbia Cup tournaments.
Registration opens about one or two months before each tournament, and close one week before each tournament. To view exact dates, please see the registration page.
During the registration period for the Fall tournament, you are encouraged to register teams for both tournaments in the Columbia Cup series – for each team you register for the Columbia Cup series, you save $20 when compared to registering for each tournament separately. In addition, if your school has not attended a Quiz Bowl tournament at Columbia prior to the 2018-19 school year, you are eligible for a reduced fee for new schools. For more information, please visit the Fees page.
